Neighborhood
The West Highland neighborhood is one of the most coveted neighborhoods to live in in Denver. Cute Victorian homes and bungalows grace the streets. 3 awesome business districts are within walking distance. 32nd and Lowell is literally just steps from our front door. Full of great restaurants, bars and bakeries you can find just about everything you need. The best restaurant is Il Camino - fresh Mexican and is literally around the block from our house. Mead Street is a great dive bar, Happy Bakeshop has award winning cupcakes, and the Denver Bread Company does unbelievable bread (and they offer free samples!). If you're looking for great Italian check out Spatolla and if you want Indian go to Himichulli. The massages at LoDo massage are awesome and Highlands Pilates has a great workout. LoHi - with it's trendy bars and fine food is about a 5 minute drive (20 minute walk) towards the city center. Root Down, Linger and Postino are awesome places. Williams and Graham is a great speakeasy. If you walk for another 10 minutes you will be in LoDo. On the other side of West Highland, about a 30 minute walk, Tennyson and 42nd has a lot more amazing restaurants and breweries. The grocery store, King Soopers, is about a 5 minute drive (30 minute walk) to Federal. Copper Mountain ski resort is a one hour, twenty minute drive (no traffic)! Vail is just 25 minutes further.
